These multi-function caps are specifically designed to be used when painted or finished surfaces cannot be scratched or when less magnetic attraction/pull force is needed. Our testing of this cap shows that the magnetic pull strength will be reduced by approximately 300 LBS while the horizontal gripping strength (horizontal push/pull forces) is increased by 60 LBS. This cap is perfect for when surfaces cannot be scratched (due to powder coat, paint or other finishes) or when the magnet pull force needs to be reduced (moving, handling, positioning thinner sheet metal). Using this cap to reduce the magnetic pull force helps the user release the magnet much easier and with much less force. This cap is custom designed for ADAMAR and engineered with a specific blend of silicone and rubber to achieve a durometer that gives durability and good grip.
